NUNS SKATING
Artist: Simeon Lumgair (featuring Queen of Opera)
Single title: Nuns Skating
Genre: Contemporary Classical / Soundtrack / Christmas/ Alternative
Release date: December 18th 2022
Introducing Nuns Skating, a collaboration with The Queen of Opera. This piece is based on the award-winning poem "Nuns Skating" by Ann Drysdale, which tells some of the Christmas story through the wonders and mysteries that surround the nuns.
Nuns fret not at their convent’s narrow room
Because their spirits can escape beyond
The place that holds them in respectful gloom
To seek the Lord beside the frozen pond.
There He will make their laughter into bells
And turn their breath to incense. He will show
Shadows of magi on the distant hills
And flights of angels shining in the snow.
He will make rushes sing and grasses dance
To the intrusive music of their chatter,
Whispering in their ears that, just this once,
They too can walk as He did, on the water.
Oh, may the year to come be full of these.
Small serendipitous epiphanies.
The poem won second Prize winner, National Poetry Competition, 2001

Single title: Ostentatious Misanthropy
Genre: Contemporary Classical / Soundtrack / Alternative
Release date: August 19th 2022
Ostentatious Misanthropy is the fourth single from the album Paperback Fables Opus from composer Simeon Lumgair.
This is the story of a troubled writer who dwells on the relationship of two estranged lovers; they are oblivious to his presence and influence. The piece unfolds a tragic fable of intimacy and isolation, two lovers dependent on one another but unable to relate.
Abandonné dans le désert, tu es mon déluge
Ma teinte chatoyante qui ne s'estompe pas,
le monde est né autour de toi.
Tu as été projeté hors de l'espace
Ton courage sans méfiance me rend courageux.
Nos désirs sont hors de notre portée, nous dimmed noyés dans l'isolement.
CAEDMON'S HYMN
Artist: Simeon Lumgair (featuring Queen of Opera)
Single title: Caedmon's Hymn
Genre: Contemporary Classical / Soundtrack / Alternative
Release date: August 5th 2022
Caedmon's Hymn is the third single from the album Paperback Fables Opus from composer Simeon Lumgair. Caedmon's Hymn is believed to be the first English poem, written around 680 AD in old English. An antediluvian myth surrounds this poem that common cow-herder Caedmon lacked the ability to sing and had no rhetorical training until an angel gave him a song which now has been preserved through time.
This metamorphosis of the enigmatic hymn brings to life something which was sung on the hills of ancient history—the theophanic paradox of the divine and the earthy coexisting in harmony.

Haunted Fury is the second single from the album Paperback Fables Opus from composer Simeon Lumgair. We stand in the shadows of the great, the powerful and a myriad of forgotten souls. Our time is fleeting, yet we vainly conceive that not only the cosmos revolves around our existence but that we also deny the reality of mortality.

A cinematic sound featuring the majestic voice of D'Andrea Pelletier, the Queen of Opera. Pelletier gracefully sings the French poem about strangers who have an encounter for a brief moment when they notice they are reading the same novel. This is one of the multiple interconnecting narratives that are weaved throughout the album.
The Lyrics were also featured in a Poetry Festival.
